| |
Hi,
All servers have been upgraded to a new faster, lighter and better mailserver. You will notice faster IMAP connections and lower server load.
In certain cases some mail will be downloaded again when you first connect to the mailserver. We have thoroughly tested this and it only occurs in a tiny number of cases and typically only the last days mail is re-downloaded.
We have also installed PHP caching tools on Pluto, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn (Jupiter and Mars cannot run these). This should vastly improve the performance of PHP pages after they have been loaded once. This works by keeping the PHP script in memory in a compiled state saving both resources and time when the script is needed again.
These changes will manifest themselves in "snappier" page loading and faster mail retrieval and manipulation, never a bad thing!
Thanks,
