Trying to think ahead but I wondered what the process would be should one need to change from shared > reseller > vps would be.

Hi,

From shared to reseller no migration is necessary, accounts can typically be upgraded in place. From reseller to VPS we will backup and transfer all of your accounts to the VPS, basically all migration should be seamless in terms of site operation.
