| |
I'm trying to set up BkupMODx to back up my site. I use it on another host without problems, but when I try to include the files in the Nethosted web root, it fails.
BkupMODx has a config file that specifies which files and directories to add to a zip file. If I list:
dir0 = /home/mysite/www/,false
dir1 = /home/mysite/www/wp/,true
it should include the files in the root and ignore the directories for the dir0 line, but it fails with a message:
ModelFile::fileAttr - ERROR: missing required file: /home/mysite/public_html/public_html
Everything works fine if the first line is omitted.
The public_html under the public_html seems to be a link - does it have to be there? I'm worried that if I delete it, it will cause me grief.

Hi,
Try:
dir0 = /home/mysite/public_html/,false
dir1 = /home/mysite/public_html/wp/,true
although perhaps those lines should be swapped so it includes /wp/ first
and then doesn't do the whole public_html?
All links and folders that we setup on your account when it was created are important and shouldn't be deleted.
Thanks,

Hi,
Further to what I've said I've just taken a look in your docroot and I see a symlink that actually shouldn't be there. Something we incorrectly created, perhaps BkupMODx will work correctly now without alteration now that I have removed this?
Thanks,

All working well now the extra link has gone. (I had already been swapping between /www/ and /public_html/ without success). Thanks for swift response.
