If I can get the design layout in Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 and Google Chrome browsers.
Can I presume I have got it right for all browsers ?

| If you're using CSS for positioning then no, I'm afraid not. IE6 can be quite different to IE7 in it's handling of CSS. If you're using tables for layout then you probably can. On a positive note it's worth mentioning that if you've got it right in the three browsers you mention then you've done the majority of the work - although some IE bugs can be time consuming to track down. |

I concur, IE6 can become the bane of CSS based web design

I think it both table and css, I am using Joomla I made a change to the login box and be making the same changes.
I think I seen a link somewhere may even have it in my favourites for a site that can check mutli browsers.
But will do that last as I don't really want to take the .htaccess user/pass off yet
Thanks guys _________________ Regards,

It would be worth checking it in Opera as well as it has its own layout engine.
You can use http://www.browsershots.org/ to check your site in multiple browsers / operating systems and install multiple versions of Internet Explorer with a tool available here: http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE |

In my experience you can never safely assume something works in all browsers
The minimum you should be testing in is IE6&7, Firefox 3, Opera and Safari. Firefox 2, Chrome and iPhone are nice extras if you can. |
