Domain Registrars

I like to keep my domain registration separate from my domain hosting just so I don't have all my eggs in one basket. Now, I have all my hosting at Nethosted and currently have my domain registration at freeparking.co.uk. Unfortunately, they have dropped the ball and I'm looking for somewhere else.

Does anybody have any recommendations either for or against domain registrars? I'm considering ukreg.com, 123-reg.co.uk and fasthosts.co.uk as they are ones I've vaguely heard of before.

I use ukreg and don't have any issues with them.

UKreg is part of the Fasthosts Internet group

Namecheap for .com, .net, .org
123-Reg for .co.uk, .me.uk, .org.uk

Thanks guys. We have gone for ukreg though this has people complaining about it just like all the others.

In case you are still looking

1and1.co.uk for .co.uk and networksolutions for .com (because they provide whois privacy service but saying that just reg a .net through domain.com who are part of dotster as they worked out cheaper
