I'll be making a few Magento sites live over the coming weeks and months, and am on Mars.

Hi,

This seems to relate to the optimal Magento settings if you're using the Amazon cloud. We've got a few things up our sleeves ourselves relating to our next server that should help Magento and other software.

Ok; wasn't sure how specifc the terms mentioned there were to the Amazon cloud.

The next server sounds interesting. Any chance of a transfer for someone who'll be hosting multiple Magento sites?

David,

The next server will be coming with new technology and new plans. If you'd like to move I'm sure we can arrange that! It is worth pointing out that our existing servers work very nicely with Magento already - I'd be surprised if you saw any dramatic speed increases by moving, I'd still suggest the bottleneck is Magento itself.
