I've tried searching on the forums and knowledge base to make sure this hasn't been asked before and couldn't find anything.

I know MySQL is the default db for web use and I'm happy enough to use it for things like Joomla! and Wordpress where I need to have little to do with it, but for anything I design myself and need to manage, I vastly prefer PostgreSQL.

I've run my own servers in the past, both cpanel based and Ubuntu LTS manually configured, so I know precisely how simple it is to enable pgSQL within cpanel and how little impact it has on maintenance or overheads.

Would you consider making pgSQL available? It would make it far easier for me to recommend you to friends who need it as I am very happy with the level of service and price you offer it at!

Hi,

Sure no problem, we can make this available on a per-account basis.

Thanks,

Andrew

Excuse me while I step away from my keyboard in surprise for a moment. I think that's the first time I've ever had a helpful response to that particular question!

Would you need my reseller account or the individual user account in order to add pgSQL support and what's the correct procedure to request it?

Not a problem!

You can send a ticket in with the details of which accounts you need it on. If it's simply a case of wanting it on all of your reseller accounts then just let me know.

Thanks,

Andrew

I'll toddle off to submit a ticket now. Many thanks for your excellent help! (I'd offer you a free photoshoot were you closer...)
