I need to restore my site back to certain date. How and where do I do that?

I have made backups in cpanel (Files > backups).

Hi,

We can restore cPanel backups for you, if you let us know which backup you want restored and where it is located we will do this, thanks.

Hi,

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean, to restore your website we would restore it from a backup, in your first post you said you had made backups so I thought this is what you wanted us to restore your site from?

If this is not the situation can you please provide further explanation of what you are looking to do, thanks.

Regards,

Darryl

Hi yes that's what I want - to restore my website back to a previous time/ date etc. Yes I have generated a full website backup (not downloaded) in my cpanel, Files > backups.

Darryl

Databases:Phpmyadmin allows you to back up your database

Files: Backup allows you to backup all of the files in your home directory, your MySQL Databases, and your email forwarders and filters

Which method should I be using when restoring website back to a previous date or time etc? Does either method matter? thanks

Hi,

To restore files and folders you use the "R1Soft Restore Backups" tool in cPanel. Database you restore via the tools you've mentioned.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi,

Darryl isn't at work today, if you send in a ticket with the website name and the full backup file date I will restore this backup for you.

Thanks,

Andrew
