Hi,

We strongly recommend against setting a catchall as it just typically catches spam.

You must also disable the ASSP "No Local Address" filter for the catchall to work.

Thanks,

Andrew

Do spam bombs still occur?

I've used catch all emails for ages on a number of different accounts as I give out a different email address every time I'm asked for one (recently this caught out TravelLodge when their email list escaped). I've never had a problem (and very little spam) though I do know of a friend who had issues years back.

Hi,

They do still occur, it's just our server has to manually process each message and do various spam checks on it when a catchall is set. When there is no catchall set the server doesn't have to do spam checks on the messages to non-existent inboxes.

Thanks,

Andrew
