Hi,

Is it possible to put a sub-domain on to a Dedi IP for SSL?
Example: login.domain.tld ?

The www is already on a Dedi IP for SSL

Hi,

This is possible if it has it's own cPanel account for the subdomain, it cannot be an addon/parked domain.

Regards,

Darryl

Just want to re-look at this.

If the sub-domain has it own account and SSL setup on it, on the same server as the main site, can it use the same database details as the main site.

Garry,

Yes this shouldn't be a problem, you just need to enter the correct database username/password for the database you want to access.

Regards,

Darryl

just a quick note

your certificate has to be granted to:
*.yourdomain.net

instead of:
yourdomain.net

something that i learn (by mistake)

To be clear on this if you want a certificate to work on a subdomain then you must purchase it for that subdomain name unless you purchase a wildcard certificate which would work for all subdomains but is significantly more expensive than a standard certificate.

Darryl
