Unable to log in to ftp

I have set up an ftp account, but am unable to authenticate when I try to get into it. Are there problems at the moment?

Hi,

Be careful, if you give incorrect FTP login credentials multiple times in succession you will be automatically banned from the entire server!

Make sure you are using the login name in the form ftpname@yourdomain.com

Yes, that was it. I had been using a local server and had forgotten the "full" form of userid.
