Hi,

Is there anything up with Venus lately, I had been doing work on my development site this week and noticed a slow down in both HTTP and sometime a bit in cPanel.

Today there was such a slow down my Ajax message didn't display and that is set to 10000.

I have also noticed that the status page that tells you the server load and other bits have been removed from cPanel.

Other websites I visit including my 2nd test account (PHP 5.3.x) hosted on a server in Amsterdam is fine.

Garry,

Nothing unusual is happening with Venus, server load is low. If you can give me a specific example of a page that is loading slowly I'll take a look and see if I can see anything odd happening.

We haven't removed anything from cPanel, it is regularly updated though so I can only think that this is something they have changed.

It seems fine at the moment.

But is seem to come and go.

I noticed a few days ago in the evening I was downloading a backup via FTP and I was geting around 9Mbps I normally get 22Mbps.

As I currently have a 100Mb connection.

I can't really comment on your internet connection however I have just ran a httpd download speed test on Venus:

Saving to: `100mb.test.1'

100%[======================================>] 104,857,600 8.50M/s in 12s

2012-01-06 12:26:40 (8.65 MB/s)

This is just over 70Mbit not including overheads which seems reasonable.

Ok I will monitor and see how it goes, it could be my end or, it could be inbetween.
