What software package for a 12 year old?

I work with a lady who has a 12 year old son and he is interested in trying to design simple web pages. Granted at his age it maybe quite something for him to pick up HTML etc......

The mother would ideally like to start him off with a program which is more graphic based where he can 'draw' his web page and then if he takes to it, move him onto something where he can start to get to grips with actual code.

Can anyone recommend a simple software package which is not too expensive and easy to use?

I know nothing about it, but for 4 quid delivered...

Hopefully that will let him WYSIWYG away, and also give him access to the markup when he wants it.

Do the kid a massive favour and get him on open source young. He'll thank you.

Thanks for the heads up over this one. I had never heard of it at all and I have a similar situation, a nephew who wants to learn the html witching way.

Ps Yes, its my first post here ... so hello to you all !
