Will the Basic plan disk space ever increase?

I have enjoyed your excellent service and support for a few years now, and intend to for the foreseeable future, but in the time I've been with you the disk space of the Basic plan hasn't changed at all. I'm sure you know as well as anyone that computing trends, particularly on the internet, change rapidly, and one change has been the massive increase in online storage available in just about every aspect of net life. I was just wondering if you had plans to increase the Basic plan disk space quota any time soon? I know there are other packages available with more disk space, but soon enough 250MB will surely be too little for just about anyone. I don't consider myself to have much on my sites here, it's mostly just photographs, but a few high quality photos would soon gobble up the remaining space.

Hi,

Disk space is actually our "premium" item due to the quality of hardware we use here. With the launch of our next server in the new year "Venus" we will indeed be changing some of our plan structures to take advantage of decreasing storage costs however there are currently no plans to change the space offered on our lowest shared plan. I can't remember the exact figure but the average account on our service uses significantly less than 250MB of space so from this point of view the Basic Plan does suite the "average" user.

A lot of new features will be being launched in the New Year along with the new server so it should be an exciting time to be with NetHosted
