Hi there

I'm currently pitching to a new client and, if successful, will hopefully be setting up a new website with your very good selves. However, it's dependent on a few things...

Firstly, the client wants to be able to maintain an "email" list and be able to send out mass-mails to all the members quickly and easily. It'll be about 100 members to start with but could potentially become a lot more. Do you have a means of doing this that doesn't involve "BCC'ing" everyone's email address (a method I know is the sure-fire quickest way to end up in someone's junk mail filter...)

Also, I'm currently on the Starter Reseller package (which is still absolutely perfect for my needs) but this new account will need to be separate and will only really have the one domain name. What would you recommend for this?

Hope you can help

Cheers

Darren :)

Darren,

We offer two mailing list solutions: mailman and phplist. We recommend phplist as it's the most flexible and feature complete. This can be installed via Installatron in cPanel easily.

Is it purely an email only account that is required? If so the best fit would be one of our email only plans. If the site requires web hosting then any of our shared hosting plans support mailing lists so the decision on which depends on what sort of space and bandwidth requirements your client has.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew

Cheers for the prompt response! :)

A full-blown site is what's wanted here. It'll also have a PHP forum too that may see quite a bit of traffic (I'll probably be using an Invision forum as I've used them before and found them pretty good)...

In that case any of our shared, reseller, vps or dedicated plans would be work just fine :)

Thanks,

Andrew

ok, I'm thinking the Basic plan here might be a good start:

http://www.nethosted.co.uk/uk-web-hosting.php

Can you clarify, if it ended up using more bandwidth than expected, would it be easy to upgrade to the Power Plan package? Also, as the "Free Domain Name" isn't included, can I still purchase this separately from yourselves (or purchase a domain from elsewhere and point to your servers?)

Hi,

You can upgrade at any time via the client area. You can purchase a domain via the client area when ordering or afterwards. Also you can purchase a domain from a third party and use it on our service.

Thanks,

Andrew
