You can look at my site (which is listed in my member profile but not my testimonial) and I am more than happy with the service and the price. I can't think of a single reason to consider moving at the moment. Look at the forums, especially the speed of response. Indeed, if there's one thing that sells Nethosted over any other company it's the customer support...they've answered all my questions, both pre- and post-sales, within an hour. Even at 11pm Sunday evening! I was also a little cynical about the Testimonial section - so much good feedback, none bad. Thing is, once I began to communicate with them, I found that all the claims about their brilliantly efficient support were true, so why not believe the rest? And as far as I can see so far, the rest is to be believed. The service is reliable, good value, fast and very friendly. Oh, and my website is (which is just a blank page ![]() |

I think there are negative aspects to the NetHosted service, but they're heavily outweighed by the positives, primarily the promptness of customer support, server performance, and uptime (we had issues with the latter two at our last host, WebFusion, but have had none at all with NetHosted). The main negative sides from my technical point of view are a few niceties - services which are not provided. WebFusion provided shell access, which we used for database maintenance and site uploads via SCP (SSH copy), but NetHosted does not. The site administration is also performed through cPanel, which is fantastic but doesn't work through some firewalls. NetHosted also don't have a proper FAQ section (they have some generic FAQ about cPanel I think, but nothing specific to the site, which would have made me more comfortable). None of these have posed major problems overall though, and as I said above, they're heavily outweighed by the strong positive aspects of the service. Addressing each in turn, we now do database maintenance in phpMyAdmin, we got around the lack of secure automated uploads by using curl to post files via a https web interface into the cPanel file upload system, and we installed cPanelProxy to allow cPanel access from behind awkward firewalls. The lack of an FAQ isn't a problem to customers as the NetHosted staff seem so willing to respond to even the simplest of questions without getting impatient, and are always prompt with their replies. Actually, one further issue which seems to be a general problem with shared hosting suppliers is that the software isn't necessarily up-to-date (e.g. PHP and MySQL versions). However, NetHosted is much more up-to-date than WebFusion was, so we're happy there too! To any small business, though, by far the most important factor in judging the quality of the hosting has to be your own customers' experience using your site, which means that above all else you need as much uptime as possible and fast page load times, and NetHosted are delivering on both these counts. Any other problems with the service just make certain maintenance tasks more awkward, which is much less of a problem than having to source new customers because the last load got fed up with your site's lousy performance. |

Same here, no downtime that i have noticed, i have been with them over a month. Great support too. |
