Hi,

I have a client who wishes to transfer 6 email addresses to Nethosted. However, they would like the website to remain with the current web hosting company.

What email hosting package would you recommend? They would a minimum of 1TB space for each of the email addresses. Also, monthly cost for the package would be great.

Many thanks.

Hi Bharesh,

If they're looking to use 1TB of space for each email account then unfortunately this wouldn't be suitable on any of our shared email hosting plans, you would really be looking at quite a large dedicated server to handle that amount of storage! If you have any further questions, do let us know.

Kind Regards,
Bret

Sorry - I have to ask: What is the customer doing to need that amount of space?

I have all my emails from the last 13 years available and they take up less than 1% of your customers requirements.

It shouts that they are using email for file transfer when something like dropbox would be a lot better.

Hi guys,

1TB per user did indeed seem a little excessive! :-)

If you know what they'd need realistically then we can certainly advise on the best package for them.

Kind Regards,
Bret

Hi,

The moment, with their existing email hosting, the maximum mailbox size is only 300MB. This is not sufficient. They would like a minimum of 1GB for each mailbox.

Thanks.

Hi Bharesh,

1GB is fine, we ask clients that they keep their mailboxes to 2GB to promote a healthy filesystem. How many mailboxes / domains are they looking to need?

Kind Regards,
Bret

Hi Bret,

Currently there are 6 mailboxes to be transferred. They may need to setup additional email addresses in the near future but I am sure it will be less than 10 in total.

Only need 1 domain. As I mentioned in first email, they only wish to transfer email addresses and not the website. I suppose that the Advanced would be the best package for their needs.

Regards,

Bharesh

Hi Bharesh,

I would agree that the Advanced Package would be the method to go as this allows for plenty of disk space and up to 100 email accounts should they need more email accounts to be created.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Regards,

Jack

Hi,

As they only want to transfer the email addresses from their current hosting company, what is the procedure for this? Can you let me know the IPS tag, please?

Thanks.

Bharesh

Hi Bharesh,

Our IPS Tag is "NETHOSTED".

The best method of doing this is by re-creating the email accounts on our server and then copying the emails into a local folder in an email client then copying the back across and uploading them to the server on the new email accounts.

Regards,

Jack

Hi,

One final question regarding cost. Is the £94.80 Biennially include VAT?

Thanks.
