Is there a limit to the size of attachment I can send with an email. I tried to send a 300MB file to someone which could not be sent as the file was too large. If there is a limit, is it something I can change on cPanel - I had a look but couldn't see anything.

I am using Thunderbird as a client.

Hi,

Yes the limit on attachment size is 50MB but files this large should not be sent via email, anything above a few MB is bad practise really as it can cause problems for the receiver as well as unnecessary load on email servers, you should either upload them to a hosting account or use a tool such as dropbox for large file transfers.

Regards,

Darryl

Thanks for the quick reply. I was trying to do something quickly but understand the reason for the limitation.
