I'm just toying with an RSS feed on a site and the XML setup is straightforward enough to do but what is the best way to add a link to it on a site? Just give them the URL of the xml file to paste into their reader or is there a neater solution? TIA |

I'd use the RSS button (a standard design button used by all sites) and then yes, just link to the XML. That's what the BBC does for example... Andrew |

It might also be worth including it in a <link> tag so web browsers can detect the RSS feed and make it easier to subscribe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)#Including_in_XHTML That then usually lets you just click the RSS icon in the browser to subscribe. |
