| Post subject: | Splash screens - old hat or kool for kats? |
I've got a brief to design a new site for a dance teacher in HTML, etc - no Flash. Normally, for a selling site the visitor would go straight to the home page because we want as few clicks between them and their money as possible, right? In this case though I've got a video and lots of photos to use and I'm thinking that maybe a splash screen with a nice photo on it is a good way to introduce visitors to the site. What do you guys think? Anyone building splash screens into their sites? |

Hi, Considering the subject of the site, I think a video intro if kept short and fast loading wouldn't be a problem! Andrew |

Personally, I hate splash screens but if you must have one, make sure a click ANYWHERE on the screen instantly takes you to real content. |
