In the Power Server description it says "Also an ideal server to host a large volume of sites."
Can you quantify "large volume"? Are we talking more than 20, more than 100, more than 500?
Also, what sort of [recommended max] levels does the Starter server option have?
(obviously it depends on type of sites/etc, but hopefully there's a general guideline?)

How significant is 100Mbps uplink over 10Mbps?
Am I right in thinking that only people with a >10Mbps connection would be able to benefit?

This is not the answer you will want but I'm afraid it's impossible to quantitively answer your questions. The starter server and power server could both host 1000 one page HTML sites that get only a few visitors a day but both could struggle if you tried to host a database intensive forum receiving many tens of thousands of visitors a day.

I really can't answer that question, it completely depends on the types of sites and what you consider a poor load time (after all you can overload the server if you so desire).

The 100Mbps link is useful if you think people will be downloading from your site quite often e.g. if you're going to have galleries of large images, or files then the 100Mbps link will come in useful as it will allow 10 times more data to be sent concurrently compared to the 10Mbps link.

Ah, funny you should mention that - galleries of large images is one of the things that is very likely. (I'm planning to do photography-targetted hosting/freelancing aimed at local camera clubs).
Sounds like a 100Mbps uplink would be a useful feature to have then.

And I hoped you wouldn't say that. :P

It'll definitely be beneficial if you want lots of people to be able to download big files at decent speeds concurrently.

Sorry to disappoint on the first two points!
