I was thinking last night, do other designers worry about whether the end user has Javascript turned off or Flash not installed. If you do what do you do? Have an alternate site?

And what about IE6, has anyone taken the step forward and not bothering about making sure a site still works using IE6?

If my site works on my PC, then thats good enough for me.....

I don't have the ability to specifically design a site for all the various browsers and versions. If it works on others, then its more by chance than by design!

Yes, as well as images.

JS should usually be unobtrusive anyway, though with Magento sites I make an exception as the whole app needs it.

Flash areas can show an image instead. I'd never use Flash to convey any real information. http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/documentation

If images are turned off I have different CSS selectively applied to the affected elements (especially relevant to image-replaced elements). http://alt.skybound.ca/statescope/

Text zooming should also be allowed for.
