Well his condition has been downgraded from critical to stable - normally a good sign!

He is now out of intensive care according to the radio which is good news. Apparently he had already broken the British land speed record and they decided to do another run to get some more film.

Apparently the hospital is one of the top neuro centres in the UK so he is in good hands.

Richard has now been moved by air ambulance to a hospital in Bristol to complete his recovery. he has been seen laughing which must be a good sign.
