is a charity formed for the benefit of Melton Mowbray (where the Pork Pies come from  ) and it's community. It looks after the public parks, gardens and recreational / sports grounds and also holds a charter right to conduct weekly street markets.

I used the to create the site. The theme is a modified version (altered typography & new styles for blockquotes & images) of the excellent by Steven Wittens (who I believe also created the BlueBeach theme you see on ).

I don't know much about search engine optimisation, but using the path module (for rewriting urls) and the Google Sitemap module (which automatically creates and submits a ), the site shows up at the number one spot on Google for a couple of appropriate searches and not too far down the list for others B)

The crossfading slideshow on the home page is done using a great script (slightly modified) from http://www.splintered.co.uk/experiments/65/ which gracefully degrades to a list of images with javascript and/or css turned off.

Take a look:

Richard

I like it, not only does the layout come to hand easily and look good the site also contains a lot of quality content. You don't see those together all that often!

Thank you Andrew.

I can't take credit for the content - that's my colleagues' work. I'm sure they will appreciate your comments aswell!
