I have backed up my problem cambodia site and restored it to my other web host but the problem was still there. I then asked them to chown all my files and folders to match my user name and thank God everything worked again. Can you chown all my files and folders to match my user name please?

I just got some advice from http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread ... post183298 and would like to know if following might provide a permanent solution, so the ownership problem doesn't come back.

"When Php runs as an module of Apache all files created with php scripts (or Mambo) get a different owner than files uploaded with ftp. When a process with a different owner tries to access the files, it is Php/Apache denies access.

Try asking your host to enable safe_mode_gid in Php.ini and to disable safe_mode. This way Php should ignore the owner as soon as the group is the same."

I found a very long thread discussing this Mambo 4.5.2 specific problem (doesn't occur with earlier versions) at http://forum.mamboserver.com/showthread ... ge=1&pp=10

Maybe you can do something or maybe I have to wait for the next release of Mambo?
